Theme Song

To complement the new blog header, angry doc has adopted a theme song for the blog; click on the music player on the sidebar to listen to it (angry doc hates those blogs that 'autoplay' music files...).

Does it make this blog cooler?

(Brownie points for those who can make the connection between this post and the X-ray.)

  • Listen to that riff!Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

  • The tongue lllllooks pretty high up in the mouth.

Wouldn't this work better as a video?

By Blogger The Key Question, At May 29, 2009 2:40 pm

  • Nope.

It's actually a medical thing that I expect blacktag or spaceyfan to pick up...

I considered posting the music video for the track but it's a bit creepy...

  • Could it be bone cancer of the jaw?

By Anonymous Imustbestupid, At May 29, 2009 6:36 pm

  • Nope. In any case it's the connection between the X-ray and the post I am getting at. :)

  • hmm, there's an FB at C4/5, but i can't figure out what it is. looks like an adult's xray.

music player doesn't work where i'm logged on, so not sure if the lyrics offer any clues.

anything to do with the line "For a smile they can share the night"? :)

By Anonymous spacefan, At May 29, 2009 8:59 pm

  • Nope. Unfortunately blacktag confused you by posting the lyrics of *another* song the...

You definitely need the music player to e working to get this one.

Not sure about the FB, but that's not it.

  • If you get the correct answer I'll get you the movie soundtrack you wanted. :)

By Blogger angry doc, At May 29, 2009 9:07 pm

  • okay, i got really distracted by that thing in front of C4/5. so if it isn't that, is it a fracture of the anterior segment of C6?

still not able to hear the music, so i'm running blind here. :)

By Anonymous spacefan, At May 29, 2009 9:43 pm

  • Yes, that's the diagnosis - I knew it would be you or blacktag to pick it up. Now: what's the connection to the theme song? So close!

By Blogger angry doc, At May 29, 2009 9:47 pm

  • Cos it causes the stumbling due to hemiparesis?

By Anonymous Edgar, At May 29, 2009 10:42 pm

  • No, but good guess. :)

By Blogger angry doc, At May 29, 2009 10:46 pm

  • Flexion teardrop fracture? Google is my friend.

Now I'm pretty shocked to realise that something that looks so subtle could be so devastating...

By Blogger The Key Question, At May 29, 2009 10:48 pm

  • Bingo!

By Blogger angry doc, At May 29, 2009 10:50 pm

  • Oh yes, anyway if I am not wrong, LH, they take the radiograph asking the patient to raise the tongue to the roof of the mouth.

Jaw seems clear of any radiographical signs of cancer so that is out too, imustbestupid.

I am rather disturbed by that weirdly anglulated radioopacity in the maxillary tuberosity area. The fillings look iffy and this guy/gal needs to get her upper posterior teeth replaced...

By Anonymous Edgar, At May 29, 2009 10:52 pm

  • Good grief. Guy's got a borken neck and you worry about his teeh!

Anyway, does the theme song make my blog cool?

By Blogger angry doc, At May 29, 2009 10:55 pm

  • But isn't it also the theme song for that Gregory House guy? Granted he isn't a real doctor but he has plenty of angry, a gruff voice and a cool walking stick...

By Blogger The Key Question, At May 29, 2009 11:13 pm

  • Just out of curiosity, can anybody *tell me* what's that moth-eaten area of radiolucency at the anterior mandible. I'm really not used to looking at human radiographs. Haha.

By Anonymous Imustbestupid, At May 29, 2009 11:14 pm

  • Well yes, LH - that's why it goes with the new header... =_=

imbs, that's just the way the anterior part of the mandible looks like in the lateral view, I think.

By Blogger angry doc, At May 29, 2009 11:21 pm

  • To IMBS:

Dude, it's been so long since I've heard from you! Any chance that you'll be updating your blog?

    To Angry Doc:

It takes more than an schmancy song to be cool. You need to practice the scowl.

By Blogger The Key Question, At May 29, 2009 11:34 pm

  • I'm working on my stubble first...

By Blogger angry doc, At May 29, 2009 11:35 pm

  • AngryDr:

    Thanks for the answer :)

    LH:

Yup I will, in about 1 month's time, after my final final final exams haha :(
