Quote of the week

In Singapore, TCM complements western medicine and this mixed
system is best for consumers. The two operates on very different philosophy and
it is hard and unfair to assess one using the other's benchmark.

For patients, whether it is east or west, so long as it works,
it is the best!

I think it's informative to notice that there is no western aeronautical science or eastern aeronautical science.

The same physics and aerospace engineering principles apply for all nations who have space tech, east, west, north, south; they are all assessed on a single benchmark. Nothing hard or unfair about it.

So what's the difference between space tech and medicine?

I think a big part of it is how the results are evaluated.

If a type of space tech blows up, or spins off-course, or didn't deliver the satellite to its intended orbit, the method used simply didn't work.

    It failed.

    End of story.

If a type of "complementary" therapy sort-of makes some patients sort-of feel a little better but has never really been checked if it makes the illness better but at least it doesn't cause any obvious harm, the method used... works?
