A penny for your thoughts? 5

Just to give an example of how much information may be required in the filling of a medical report, angry doc snapped a picture of a typical medical report request from an insurance company:

So how much do you think a doctor should charge for providing this medical report?

  • This is not all. There should be a few more documents “to be signed” by the doctor to support the insurance claim after the report was submitted. (may be more than one time) No time to read when documents were shown to me, but I had commented to the ex-insurance ceo OJiSan, but he had not reply to me or DARE NOT reply. Maybe he realized he “forgotten” there are some who can utilized more than 90% of brain cells. (lame joke of the day!)
Here is a guideline for charges:
    S$180 + S$15/page + $10/min ^^

  • The questions are such a pain to deal with! Even a clerk can fill it up but too bad doctors have to waste their time on this because they have to sign off the report!

  • It's a pain even when it is straightforward, and oftentimes it is not straightforward.

In theory a trained clerk can fill it up, but in reality if you are going to spend that long training that clerk, the cost of medical report might not be all that lower.

Plus who's going to trust a medical report from "just a clerk"?
